CHRISTMAS SERVICE PROJECT: Each Christmas we invite our families to be involved in a service project. For the past 38+ years, we have successfully collected new and used baby and children's clothes, etc. to be given to Christian Social Service Help Center and Options For Women /Cornerstone to distribute to those in need. New or gently used baby clothes (to size 18 months) and baby items (diapers - all sizes except 0, lotions, shampoo, diaper ointments, wipes, etc.) will be given to Options. Gently used maternity clothes and gift items for the new Mom are also appreciated. Rocking chairs and changing tables are also desired. Any gently used and new clothes for children older than 18 months will be donated to C.S.S. Gently used children’s books and smaller toys are also welcomed (no used stuffed toys). This is a great opportunity to teach the children the joy of giving to others.
FOOD SHELF SERVICE PROJECTS:
During the months of November and March we collect food for the local Food Shelf. The March Drive is a Birthday Bag collection. Families donate Birthday bags and items to go in the bags including cake mixes, candles, frosting, paper plates, napkins , and other items to help celebrate a Birthday. The children seem to especially enjoy this fun project as they learn about generosity.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS: School Closings will be announced on WCCO 830 AM radio, WCCORADIO.COM, WCCO.COM and WCCO TV 4 News under Pumpkin Patch Preschool. Generally if the Monticello Public Schools are canceled we will be also. If they have a late start we will generally be in session. At all times use your own discretion. We have families from all areas attending with many road conditions so use your best judgment.
